The Weights Gym at Action Point offers a large selection of free weights and cable machines. Perfect for all programs, our facility allows you to complete the heaviest of push/pull, upper, lower or whatever split you and your trainer have programmed.

No experience is necessary – our Trainers can cater and adapt to all levels, offering a range of equipment and approaches to help everyone. One of Action Point’s biggest strengths is its welcoming culture and ability to make everyone feel comfortable.

The most common technique is called ‘Bracing’. This is taught in all our classes and helps to mitigate injury and enhance performance. It involves inhaling to create rigidity during the explosive phase of the lift. Our Trainers are experts and teach all guests and members these techniques both in personal training sessions and functional fitness classes.

The answer to this question varies from person to person. People lift weights to achieve different outcomes and thus, choose their weights, sets, reps and program to match the outcome required. At Action Point, we teach our guests to lift for health, functionality and progression. Wherever someone sits on that scale, we adapt to ensure safety, fun and achievement.

Weightlifting is arguably the best exercise for losing fat weight. As part of a weightloss program, it is absolutely essential and one of the reasons why Action Point’s program is so successful and known for creating great results.

Absolutely – Weightlifting is an essential part of our programs. Each guest has a range of options to engage in resistance training. From a 1 on 1 setting with their dedicated Personal Trainer, a fun group setting during a functional fitness class, or during a strength circuit class.
